Pastor Cher ~ Not an Ordinary Pastor
Aka Miss Cher
So who is Pastor Cher? I am the co-founder of Shield of Faith Family & Youth Ministries (aka SOFFY). As the C.E.O. for 18 years, the Lord has blessed me to have been instrumental in launching over 30 outreaches reaching all over the world.
I am a published author of three Christian books, have written hundreds of children's stories and tons of articles over the years in the Christian field. Hopefully, they will be available in e-book form soon.
It's all because of the Lord and YOU, my partners and supporters in the ministry of spreading the gospel of Christ Jesus. I love you and thank you so much! Your faithful prayers and generous support have helped SOFM to achieve all that it has ... and praise God, we're not done!
My hope is that in some way these writings and teachings will draw people closer to Jesus, so they can live a victorious life in Him. May the Lord God Almighty richly bless you.

Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 2:14
It seems that no matter what list of things I try to accomplish during the year, I always fall short in doing it all. Furthermore, it seems that many people fall into this same category each year.
Instead of feeling bad about what I didn't get done, I am thankful for the things I did accomplish with the help of the Lord. When I look back over the year, I find that there were things I accomplished that were more important than the things I had on my original "to do" list.
As we enter into another year let us be thankful for the victories we have had through Christ Jesus, and thank the Lord for another chance at the list this year. "Thanks be unto God which always causes me to triumph in Christ." 2 Corinthians 2:14

Who is Pastor Cher?
Who am I? Well, I guess that depends on what I am doing at the time, like most folks. Right now I'm a writer and author, later today I might be fulfilling the duties of a pastor, evangelist or counselor. Maybe tomorrow or the middle of the week, I might have some teaching, singing or gardening to do all while I try to be the best wife I can and daughter to a Living God. It wasn't always like this. As a matter of fact, my desire was to teach and be a loving wife. But things don't always turn out the way we plan, do they?
I began teaching Sunday School and Children's Church when I was 16 years old, and would have never guessed that path would lead me to becoming a preacher. I can even remember praying and asking God, "Please don't let me marry a preacher." He answered my prayer for a short time. I know that God has a sense of humor, because not only am I married to a pastor, I am one also. Something I didn't see coming, but never regretted.
In all the challenges I have overcome in life, I have derived this from them as a Christian and have made it my teaching motto: "Identify the problem and give it no place!" The problem, well, simply put is... sin, satan or my own will. The place ... under my feet. That is, no place. Once I identify what is causing the problem, I confront it with the Word of God, and give it no place to grow in my life. I have to be honest, sometimes it takes a lot of stomping to get the problem under foot and give it over to God, but when I do, the victory comes.
My purpose and vision is to build the Kingdom of God through programs that focus on the function of the family as a whole, youth and community outreach by teaching Godly principles, and ministering to the orphans, widows and senior citizens.
Overcoming Your Mind. - "Identify the Problem and give it no place!"©
Our body and mind are always in a fight with our spirit, when it comes to doing the righteous thing. Learning that the problem can be identified to a source was a powerful tool for me in overcoming a head injury, and that's why I chose to highlight this book by Joyce Meyer.
The average person has 70,000 thoughts every day, and many of those thoughts trigger a corresponding emotion. No wonder so many of us often feel like we're controlled by our emotions. Our lives would be much improved if we controlled them.
In LIVING BEYOND YOUR FEELINGS, Joyce Meyer examines the feelings that human beings experience. She discusses the way that the brain processes and stores memories and thoughts, and then - emotion by emotion - she explains how we can manage our reactions to those emotions.
Joyce describes the 4 personality types and their influence on one's outlook. The power of replacing reactions with pro-actions lead to a healthy, happier life.
"And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children." Isaiah 54:13
