Where Am I Supposed to Be?

Lord God, "What is my place in this world?  What is the reason I'm here?"

God is My Resolution

Scripture Reading: James chapter 5

What is my place in this world?  What is the reason I'm here?

Each January 1st, millions of people make New Year's resolutions. Just a few of the resolutions that I have heard over the years are: to lose weight, exercise more, spend less and save more, etc. Many of these resolutions are never carried out and the expected change in the individual's life never takes place. Why does this happen? Because people have failed to realize their life has a purpose AND a plan.

"... the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)

As born again believers in Jesus Christ we need to realize on purpose, that "God" changes are good for our lives. We would understand that if we were more dedicated to prayer, reading the Word, giving to God's ministries , daily praise and worship then we'd start getting some good results.

These changes, if made with all obedience and diligence, will not only change us, but will change the world around us. We'll come to comprehend that our lives mean nothing without God in them. When He becomes our "Resolution" everything else gets resolved and we begin to find our way in this world.

Look what God says about why you are here:

"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)

Don't believe me? Here's more proof:

"O LORD my God, You have performed many wonders for (me) us.  Your plans for (me) us are too numerous to list.  You have no equal.  If I tried to recite all Your wonderful deeds,  I would never come to the end of them." (Psalm 40:5 NLT)

"
Praise the LORD, you angels,  you mighty ones who carry out His plans,  listening for each of His commands." (Psalm 103:20 NLT)

"Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves Your plans." (Psalm 119:91 NLT)

"The LORD will work out His plans for my life —  for Your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.  Don’t abandon me, for You made me." (Psalm 138:8 NLT)

Let us dedicate this New Year to the Lord and celebate God's goodness. Give God the honor and glory and get in on the plan. You have to believe that you are here on purpose, God's purpose! By faith, make changes today that will last for eternity! Time is growing very short. The day of His appearing is at hand.

Make this declaration today by faith:

What is my place in this world? Anywhere God needs me to beWhat is my plan? His plan Do I have any resolutions?  Only one - God.

Change Where You Are Looking - the Answers Will Come

Go before the Lord in  prayer and "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus"

Politically Correct or Spiritual Neglect

Scripture Reading: Galatians 6

We live in a day when the world is very careful not to offend "other" religions. They will defend the rights of those worshipping false gods, yet discriminate against and even condemn those of the Christian faith. Hey, where is the fairness in this? You might be saying, "Seems like Christian's are just wasting their time."

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." (Galatians 6:9)

At times, trying to continue on can be hard and frustrating, but the Words in I Corinthians 15:58 ring loud and clear for us today, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

God sees to it that our labor is not wasted. Turn your eyes upon Him, and forget about what others are saying, doing or thinking. It's about God and you, not God and "who". Don't neglect what the promise is if we don't faint. We SHALL reap good from the good we have sown!

In spite of all that is going on around us, and despite the fact that it may be unpopular with the world, we are to continue to uplift and honor the Name of the Lord. To put it plainly, we aren't supposed to faint. What does that mean? Don't quit, never give in to pressure or do what is wrong just to be politically correct with the world. Remember, God has everything covered, including you if you abide in the shelter of His arms and plans. (Read and pray Psalm 91 over your life.)

Your due season is coming. God promised it would, but if you cave in under pressure you'll never see it happen for you. Trust God and His Word which is always correct no matter how you look at it. As we uplift and honor the Lord, He will do the same for us.

Faith Moments for January 15th-21st

Make this confession as you sing. - I am here Lord to say you are my God.

Worship God before going into the scriptures as Michael W. Smith sings "Here I Am to Worship."

Where were you?
Where were you?

Where Were You?

Scripture Reading: Psalm chapter 89

The sign on the Church said "Worship Service Sunday 11 A.M." The Pastor arrived early, turned the heat up and prepared for God's people to come and hear the Word of Faith. Where were you?

"And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints." (Psalm 89:5)

With only a handful of faithful people, the service started. They prayed, sang praises, worshipped, gave tithes and offering as the Holy Spirit led the sermon. Where were you?

There was a seat for you, but you didn't fill it. The Lord had prepared a table before you, but you didn't keep your reservation to partake of the meal.

My friend, when we all gather in one place and in one accord, great things will happen. Come and receive the blessings of fellowshipping in God's house.

This week let your words be, "Lord, Here I am to worship!" (Read Acts 2:1-2 and Psalm 103 for more blessings.)

Time - Friend or Foe?

Scripture Reading: Romans chapter 13

Time works for us and against us. It is our friend when we use it wisely and our foe when we waste it.

When I was in high school, one of my teachers had a sign taped under the clock that read, "Attention all clock watchers. Time will pass, but will you?" The message: when we look to see how much time we have left, we waste the time that we have.

"The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light." (Romans 13:12)

My mother had a wall plaque that hung in our dining room. It said, "Only one life will soon be past. Only what is done for Christ will last."

We have the opportunity to utilize our time wisely for the Lord through witnessing, prayer, praise and worship, and supporting ministries that preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's time we take our eyes off of the clock and fix them on Jesus.Ask God to help you come back to Him so that you absolutely know He is with you.. Take time each morning to draw close to Him. Let God know that He is all you want or need and that your desire is to be active in His plan for your life. Make fellowshipping with God your best friend time. It's time that is well spent and will never be wasted.
